food & beverage is my forte.

Hey! I'm Morgan Sinclair.

this all started as a typical “girl can’t shut up about her food-focused study abroad” story from college.

After college, I leaned into my new found passion of getting a behind-the-scenes look at other food cultures and celebrating the connection that food provides through first-hand experiences.

Hey there, I'm Morgan Sinclair. Go-to gal for food-focused travel recs, registered dietitian, and founder of The Eating Expedition.

I believe all food has a place and a role, including cultural foods, access to food, core memories around food, food enjoyment, and of course a little dash of nutrition in there as well. I'm fascinated by the origins of food before it gets to our table and how culture is created around mealtimes.

My maternal grandparents were cattle farmers, and my mom's family has since turned some of that land into a vineyard so I guess you could say the passion of food is in my blood, but it now manifests as sitting at the chef's counter at some of my favorite restaurants in Houston, TX and traveling frequently in the search of culinary adventures.

if there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I will ask for the dessert menu after every meal.

from dinner parties to international trips

Creating a space for people to gather is my calling in life, I'm sure of it. Few things make me more giddy then getting to share meal with other people and if I may say so, we need more spaces for joy around eating without second-guessing.

The Eating Expedition was born out of a dream to gather humans around tables across the globe, soak up different food cultures, and collectively swoon over things like really good olive oil.

There are a few things you need to know about me before I guide you on a food-focused trip...

hype girl, snack enthusiast, itinerary holder.

The reality is, nothing ever goes perfectly on a trip. But who doesn't love a little side quest? While I do my best to stick to the plan, I'm also a pro at rolling with the punches, figuring things out, and adding a little adventurous spirit along the way.

i can turn just about anything into an adventure.

01.

There's always time for a snack break. While we have meals planned most days, I believe that local cuisine also boils down to trying the potato chips that you'll never find in your hometown or grabbing a gelato for the road (well, stroll to the next destination).

never without snacks.

02.

I know you like having control over your travel itinerary. But for this once, trust me that I've got us covered on this culinary experience. Take a deep breath and truly unwind as you enjoy the food culture of other places.

just call me your culinary guide.
