for the first ever Eating Expedition Trip
to Northern Italy!

trip details

This is a food-focused trip where we dive into the farms, factories, food trucks, and fine dining experiences in Northern Italy, including Parma, Modena, Cinque Terre, Florence, and some smaller cities in between! All you have to do is book your flight, and we'll handle the rest!

trip cost

$3,500 (approx. $350 dollars per day)

A non-refundable $300 deposit is due at the time of signing. The remainder of the trip cost can be worked out in a payment plan with 100% due two weeks before the trip begins. Once we receive the deposit, Morgan will reach out to set up an individualized payment plan!

We take being a "foodie" up a notch.

This trip is for you if you...

Spend your days dreaming of eating your way through Italy

Crave experiences to learn about food cultures and where food comes from

Want to travel with other foodies who have a healthy relationship with food (aka no diet talk!)

frequently asked questions

We are staying in boutique hotels and apartments throughout the different cities in Italy. All attendees will be sharing a bedroom and possibly a bed depending on the set-up of the rooms and travel partners.

Q: What does lodging entail?

We’ll miss the heck out of you! You can cancel your trip up to 180 days prior to the start date. The initial deposit is non-refundable.

Q: What if I end up not being able to go?

We are constantly monitoring COVID policies, recommendations, and restrictions, especially in Italy. Because of Italy's current restrictions, all participants will have to be fully vaccinated no more than 5 months before coming to Italy. In addition, you will have to test negative for COVID no more than 24 hours before leaving the US. If you do test positive for COVID within 24 hours from leaving, you will be able to get a full refund with proof of a positive COVID test. We recommend getting travel insurance for your trip should you not be able to join due to COVID.

Q: What are you doing about COVID?

Send us an email at info@theeatingexpedition.com!

Q: What if I have additional questions?

There are eight spots open for travelers! This number doesn't include the trip guide, Morgan, and trip photographer, Julia!

Q: How many people will be on the trip?

morgan sinclair

Hey there! I'm Morgan Sinclair, founder of The Eating Expedition and your guide for the first ever trip to Northern Italy!

My journey with food-focused travel begins in 2014 when I studied nutrition and food science in Northern Italy. Four weeks, fourteen cities, twenty foodies, and copious amounts of wine enjoyed in vineyards and parmesan cheese consumed in the company of ParmaLatte red cows. Yeah, it was just as dreamy as it sounds.

And it clearly didn't stop here. I mean, I pitched the idea to four dietitian friends to go to Portland, Oregon with the #1 goal of visiting the Tillamook Cheese Factory (spoiler: they said yes!).

I am beyond excited to host the first trip returning to where it all began - Northern Italy! Ready to eat our way through Italy together?

julia neeson

Hi, hello! I’m Julia, your photographer for The Eating Expedition.

Working in luxury hospitality, I have to be a Swiss-army knife of content creation- covering everything from spa, food, lifestyle, drone and even an underwater wedding. I adore capturing food; in addition to photographing over 15 Michelin-starred Chefs, I have covered a variety of luxury restaurant openings for Maldives Resorts.

photographer + videographer

My personal food travels began back in 2015 when I moved to Thailand for the first time. Asia was a complete education in all things food - from conquering cooking classes on an organic cooking farm in Thailand, resorting to medicinal Vietnamese Rice wine in the foothills of the Sapa Fields, exploring the Hawker Centres of Singapore, to eating freshly caught seafood aboard a Ha Long Bay cruise while the bioluminescent waters glowed through the night.

I have never been to Italy, and am so excited to capture our memories together on the Eating Expedition!

Thank you!
